CDD was recently selected by Lauer Custom Weaponry to participate in a potentioal new product evaluation.  SoftSand is a very fine sand which allows us to apply it along with the paint when painting a weapon which enhances the texture of the surfac painted to provide enhanced grip ability, particularly when wet.  We did the pistol grip, a vertical grip, and a MagPul angled foregrip with the soft sand additive in Combat Black DuraCoat for one of our local officer to evaluate and the results were very positive.  Although it was both used and abused, the softsand characteristics remained.  The only negative was the fact that the duracoat wore off the top of the soft sand particles but that was only visible on extremely close inspection.

We are still figuring out the pricing but it should be very affordable.  Ask for it if you are interested.

We need to try it on a multiple color pattern to see if the results are the same.  We will keep you posted!
