CDD is a Sponsor Member of the GTOA (Georgia Tactical Officers Association). Custom Digital Designs can offer different levels of services for police and security agencies.
BASIC SERVICES Our basic services offer extremely cost effective single color services which can extend the useful life of your current firearms inventory. After extended periods of handling it is common for firearms to show considerable wear, although being perfectly serviceable. We have the ability to completely refinish the exterior of your weapons to a new appearance while at the same time providing a finish which is far superior to most factory finishes in providing a dent, scratch, and wear resistant finish which is also completely impervious to weather.

SPECIALTY SERVICES Our specialty services are primarily intended to enhance the security, SWAT and special service teams by providing weapon and accessory camouflage keyed to their uniforms. The benefit of this color and pattern matching greatly reduces the distance at which an officer is percieved to be armed, thereby reducing the distance at which they are deemed a threat. Counter-snipers can remain totally undetected further reducing situation escalation while preserving all optional solutions. See examples below:

As a FFL licensed Manufacturer and SOT we are in a position to handle all weapon and accessory catagories including hand guns, shotguns, long guns, submachine guns, gas guns, and suppressors quickly and efficiently. For units on tight budgets we offer compromise color/pattern solutions which can be used in both wooded and low-light urban enviornments. Since DuraCoat does not require heat to cure it can be applied to all weapon accessories including scopes, red dot sights, polemer frames, grips, holsters and other acccessories which might otherwise be unfinishable because of heat sensitivity in other processes. Unless we are dealing with a factory new weapon we detail strip each weapon to its component parts, degrease, bead blast, and parkerize any steel parts before a base color is applied. The weapon is then reassembled with its designated accessories and selected patterns are applied to the entire weapons system to ensure optimim breakup of streight lines. Optional additional accessories are integrated at this time to make sure all items match correctly. Once complete the entire weapon is given a matte clear final finish which provides both an additional layer of protection and a uniform sheen. We are currently working on producing some videos of testing both DuraCoat and DuraHeat on suppressors and barrels used in semi-auto and sustained full auto fire to ascertain the proper utilization of both prducts for your weapon and it's utilization. You can check out our testing to date by going here: http://www.customdigitaldesignsonline.com/content/faqs/duracoat-product-faqs/67-will-duracoat-burn-off-my-barrel.html While we can do any patterns available for your use, we would like to point out that the digital patterns have a unique advantage over others as they often are still effective when used in the "wrong" enviornments. This appears to be the fact that the eye typically focuses on one color at a time, so when the outlines are sufficiently disrupted by the pattern, it is still effective, but at a somewhat reduced level. See photos below:

Grey Dominant Remington 870 Urban MirageFlage on Persian Carpet At multiple stages of the painting process we check critical clearance areas for ease of operation and make a final check prior to shipment. After receipt and the required cure time has elapsed, we recommend treating the weapon as if it were new and conducting a 150-200 round "break in" period to allow all parts to properly seat before re-issue to active duty personnel.

BDU COLOR MATCHING We have the capability to match almost any uniform pattern to achieve a "Total Camoflauge" effect so as to minimise the threat detection capabilities of your adversary and maximize the effectiveness of your team members. The attached photo illustrates this point. The Coastal Gun Inc. CA-15 integrally suppressed 9mm SBR shown on the upper portion of the Urban Digital BDU's was finished in the standard Urban Digital MirageFlage Colors of Matte Black (dominant color), Snow Grey and Urban Mirage White. While effective, it is not as close a match as the HK USP Tactical 9mm with Coastal Gun 9mm Ultima suppressor. The HK is done using HK Blue/Grey as the dominant color with a custom mixed dark grey and a custom mixed medium tan accent, providing a much closer color match and making the weapon nearly undetectable, even at extremely close range.
The custom colors match will be more effective and will provide reduced contrast with BDU's as they fade than would be the case with the Matte Black/Snow Grey/Urban Mirage White combination. Here are some other examples.
This Custom Remington 700 in CDD Georgia Underbrush was highlighted at the recent GTOA Annual Conference in Macon.
For those of you interested in something to match the Propper Multicam BDU's, you might want to look at our version of DuraCoat Multicolor. It is interesting to note that camouflauged weapons often work very well even when they do not match the underlying BDU, as almost anything is an improvement. See example with a Multi-Color finished MP5 against a ACU BDU below:
